An animated clip that mixed hand-drawn assets with simple keyframe animation to create a dynamic and unique look.

Working across, Adobe Fresco, Illustrator, Animate. and After Effects, I was able to create a short clip that tells a very spooky story.

I was keen to use a handdrawn background and assets because I wanted to challenge myself to experiment with different styles and techniques.

Upon first glance, this looks like a 'normal' spaceship, but when you 100k closer you see small details such as the broken helmet and pipe. This realization allows the cold, dark color pallet to add to the sense of creepiness that I have tried to create.

I feel that the employment of the computer interface adds another layer to this clip. It puts the audience into the seat of the person watching through the computer and allows anyone watching to feel as if they are discovering this creepy occurrence at the same time as the person operating the computer.
